Frozen pizza recall: 13K pounds of Home Run Inn pizza may be contaminated with metal
The USDA officially recalled the 13,099 33.5-ounce packages of Home Run Inn Chicago’s Premium Pizzeria Deluxe Sausage Classic frozen pizzas on Sunday, Aug. 14.The products have an establishment number of “EST. 18498-A” inside the USDA mark of inspection.
, the company discovered the problem when the distributor received complaints from consumers reporting that metal was embedded in the pizza.The pizzas were initially sent to a distributor in Illinois and then distributed to retailers nationwide.
