Anne Carrere stars as Edith Piaf in Piaf! The Show
The legacy of French singer Edith Piaf continues with Piaf! The Show. Conceived and directed by the Nice-based Gil Marsalla, the show features the singer’s most popular songs, most recorded in the 1940s. Since premiering in 2015 as a tribute to “the Swallow of Montmartre” on the centennial of her birthday , the show has played in more than 50 countries. It stars Anne Carrere, an actress/singer from France, as Piaf.
It’s a show of the life of Edith Piaf but her age doesn’t change. It’s in two parts. The first part is Edith Piaf singing on the streets, and the second part is Edith and her success.A: Edith Piaf in France is not in fashion. But the older generation knows Edith Piaf. She’s an icon.
