Cineplex Community Day is returning Nov. 4 with a portion of proceeds from all concession sales going to local kids programs.
And that's what Cineplex Cinemas will be offering to Burnaby film buffs — along with cheap popcorn — the morning of Nov. 4, 2023, for its annual fundraiser.
Community Day collects money for local kids programs each year for BGC Canada, formerly known as the Boys and Girls Clubs of Canada. All funds raised from Cineplex theatres across Canada are set to support empowerment programs and services to more than 200,000 youth in nearly 800 communities. This includes Cineplex Cinemas Metropolis in Burnaby, located at 4700 Kingsway in the Metrotown mall.
Interested movie-goers can see one of four select family-friendly films at no charge and everything at the concession stand is set to cost only $2.50, including popcorn, candy and drinks.According to its website, the Canada-wide chain said showtimes are between 10 and 11 a.m., and tickets will be limited on a first-come, first-serve basis the morning of the event. For more information, you can visit the Cineplex Cinemas Metropolis website.
