ST. JOHN'S, N.L. — Hundreds of people took to the streets of downtown St. John's on Saturday, Nov. 4 to call an end to what they call Israel's genocide against Palestinians in Gaza.
The crowd was also encouraged to contact their MHAs and leaders to demand that they speak up for human rights in Palestine. Thorburn said the participation from people in St. John's means a lot for those directly impacted by the war. Pro-Palestine protests have taken place in St. John's for the last three weeks. Abu-Hengi said they're not ending until the weather worsens.
