,” has been fired from the production due to the findings of an investigation about his conduct onset.
Multiple employees complained about Savage’s behavior while working on “The Wonder Years,” which is a reboot of the series of the same name which ran on ABC from 1988 to 1993 and starred Savage as Kevin Arnold. The nature of the complaints remains unclear. However, a spokesperson for, the Disney-owned studio that produces the series, confirmed that allegations were made and that Savage had been terminated.
The statement reads: “Recently, we were made aware of allegations of inappropriate conduct by Fred Savage, and as is policy, an investigation was launched. Upon its completion, the decision was made to terminate his employment as an executive producer and director of The Wonder Years.”Alley Mills claimed in 2018 that the original “The Wonder Years,” in which she also starred, was canceled due to costume designer Monique Long suing Savage for sexual harrasment.
“When we shot the series finale, nobody knew whether or not ‘The Wonder Years’ was going to be renewed,” Mills said to Yahoo Entertainment at the time. “That’s because of a completely ridiculous sexual harassment suit that was going on against Fred Savage who was like the least offensive, most wonderful, sweet human being that ever walked the face of the earth.”
