The city\u0027s auditor general says her office will no longer investigate complaints about bad bus drivers, which have flooded her hotline.

“While we continue to work with management to ensure these issues are addressed in a timely manner, I can no longer continue to commit resources and daily resources for an issue for which, firstly, we have already conducted an investigation on and, secondly, for which management has already taken steps to address,” Gougeon said.

The fraud and waste hotline is there to anonymously report “activities or conduct related to or involving city personnel, resources, operations or vendors for which they suspect instances of fraud or waste” and Gougeon stressed that she doesn’t want to discourage people from calling in legitimate complaints.Article content

Such complaints can be made to the city’s 311 phone line, but in a response to a question from Coun. Theresa Kavanagh, Gougeon said she would work with the city manager to prepare a list of other “mechanisms for items that are not fraud or waste related.”
