Paramount+ is bringing back Kelsey Grammer's snobbish psychiatrist almost two decades after his Cheers spin-off ended. Kelsey Grammer is reprising his role as Frasier Crane in the new show, as he begins his fourth act back in Boston.
Unlike other revivals, however, Frasier is the only one from the Seattle-based series who will be returning as a regular in the upcoming project. Bebe Neuwirth and Peri Gilpin's Lilith Sternin and Roz Doyle will both appear, but only as guest stars. Meanwhile, both David Hyde Pierce and Jane Leeves opted out of the show, forcing Grammer and his team to approach the Frasier revival differently.
Frasier endlessly mocked Eddie's importance in Martin's life, especially during the earlier years of the original show. In fact, he didn't even want to accept him into his home when his dad moved in with him. Frasier and Eddie's relationship was tumultuous; sometimes they got along, and other times they were at odds.
