A new Fox News poll shows President Trump nine percentage points behind former Vice President Joe Biden in the key swing state of Wisconsin.
USA TODAYWASHINGTON – A new poll conducted for Fox News shows President Donald Trump nine percentage points behind former Vice President Joe Biden in the key swing state of Wisconsin.Sen. Elizabeth Warren, D-Mass., and Sen. Bernie Sanders, I-Vt., also held leads over Trump, though their leads were within the margin of error for the poll.Trump won Wisconsin by a narrow margin in 2016 – meaning that early polling could spell trouble for Trump going into the 2020 elections.
Forty-three percent of voters in the poll said they were satisfied with the direction of the country, in contrast with 55% dissatisfied.Donald Trump now accuses Nancy Pelosi of 'treason' Asked about the current controversy surrounding Trump's pressuring of the Ukrainian government to open an investigation into Biden's son Hunter Biden, 62% of voters found it"extremely,""very," or"somewhat" concerning, and 30% were not concerned.
Forty-two percent of voters said Trump needed to be impeached and removed from office, and 48% said he should not be impeached and removed. Reflecting partisan divisions, though, both the question about Ukraine and the question about impeachment split among party lines.Eighty-two percent of Democrats thought Trump needed to be impeached and removed from office, in contrast with only 4% of Republicans.
The poll was conducted from Sept. 29 to Oct. 2 among 1,512 Wisconsin voters, with a sampling margin of error of 2.5 percentage points.
