Fox News host Chris Wallace wanted SenGillibrand to be more polite. She didn't budge
New York Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand called out Fox News during a town hall on Sunday night for the network’s coverage of “infanticide,” a right-wing framing of third-trimester abortions that she says is nothing more than “red herring debate.” ‘I understand, maybe, to make your credentials with the Democrats who are not appearing on Fox News, you want to attack us, I’m not sure it’s frankly very polite when we’ve invited you to be here.
“That is not the debate of what access to reproductive care is in this country,” Gillibrand said. “It doesn’t happen. It’s illegal. It’s not a fact.” Another moment that made a slash across social media came when Wallace asked Gillibrand about this tweet from last year:And we’re just getting started.
Gillibrand is the fourth Democratic candidate to appear at a Fox town hall, following Bernie Sanders, Amy Klobuchar and Pete Buttigieg. Elizabeth Warren, however, has vowed not to attend, slamming Fox as a “hate-for-profit racket.”
