Four new wildfires reported Friday in northeastern Ontario
Aviation Forest Fire and Emergency Services said there are currently 33 active fires in the Northeast Region. Of those, one is not under control, four are under control and 28 fires are being observed.The wildland fire hazard is mostly low across the Northeast Region. There are a few areas of moderate hazard extending north from Manitoulin Island toward Chapleau and Timmins, along the Highway 17 corridor through the Wawa sector, and north from Hearst to the Albany River.
