Enchanting, the Texas rapper best known for being signed to Gucci Mane’s Atlantic Records imprint 1017, died Tuesday at a hospital in Dallas. She was 26.
Her death was confirmed by public records from the Dallas County Medical Examiner’s office, but the cause was not immediately identified.Enchanting, whose birth name was Channing Nicole Larry, hailed from Fort Worth. She began releasing music after high school, developing a sound she characterized as “Trap & Blues.” She performed with a distinct raspy voice that drew comparisons to a hushed whisper.
