“His IQ is so high,” Courtney said. “He understands angles, he understands ball screens and how to come off of them. His whole concept of the game is beyond what you would imagine from a high school player. He does things you will see college kids doing, the professionals doing. “Everybody we played, I’m pretty sure their game plan was to somehow slow him down to a degree where he wouldn’t make such an impact,” Courtney said. “But the bigger the stage, the bigger the game, the more intense and locked in he became. His goal was to get to San Antonio, just like any other kid.”
“The run was fantastic,” Lowe said. “I’m glad these guys got to experience that, and I’m glad I got to experience that with my brother. Overall, it was just great because it made us a lot closer, and these guys coming back next year, they know what it takes.”
