Former Texans player Deshaun Watson is planning to return to Houston Friday to continue his pre-trial deposition during the Cleveland Browns’ offseason program, according to NBC Sports.

The three-time Pro Bowl QB has professed his innocence. Two grand juries in Texas have declined to indict him on any criminal charges. However, Watson has been giving depositions in recent weeks. As part of those civil lawsuits, the women’s attorney, Tony Buzbee, want Watson to answer written “requests for admission” about whether he had sex with the 18 therapists who backed him after the first lawsuits against him were filed in March 2021.The plaintiffs’ attorneys say the answers would demonstrate a pattern and motives for setting up the massages.
During a hearing, Harris County District Court Judge Rabeea Sultan Collier ruled in favor of the plaintiffs, USA Today said. Watson’s legal team, led by famed attorney Rusty Hardin, asked for the reasoning, but Collier didn’t explain. Watson also faces discipline from the NFL, which is investigating whether he violated the league’s personal conduct policy. It’s possible he’ll be suspended for part of the 2022 season.
