When asked what his plan was, Manning said that’s his goal for the next eight months
He says he wants to tour the province and get input from residents in order to craft a plan. He hopes to have more details in the coming weeks and months. While stepping down as party president in 2021, Manning hinted at a run in a provincial race. He says now was the right time to follow through. He says personally it was the right time for him.
A new leader for the party will be elected in October. MHAs Tony Wakeham and Lloyd Parrott are also on the leadership bill. Manning says “I will be the next leader of the PC Party” and is met with a standing ovation from supporters.
