Former Ohio State football defensive back Marcus Williamson was charged with aggravated kidnapping and robbery after an alleged carjacking in Tennessee last week.

As of Monday night, Williamson was being held on $80,000 bond. His next scheduled court date is Sept. 7.a woman said an unknown man kidnapped her and took her wallet and phone. She said the man forced her to drive to an ATM and withdraw $500. He then told the woman to get out of the vehicle and drove away.
According to the report, officers located the car being driven by Williamson as it pulled into a car wash on Friday. Williamson exited the car and was seen throwing items into a trash can before he was arrested. Officers confirmed the items in the trash belonged to the woman. Also discovered in the trash was a room key for a Memphis hotel. Officers executed a search warrant for the room and located Williamson’s identification. The woman later identified Williamson in a six-person lineup.
Williamson recorded 27 tackles, three pass breakups and a forced fumble last season while starting several games as Ohio State’s cover safety. However, he left the team prior to the Rose Bowl, saying he was retiring for “self care.” During the game he posted severalWilliamson, 23, is a Westerville native who played at IMG Academy in Bradenton, Florida.
