Nebraska’s Ramel Lloyd and Creighton’s Ben Shtolzberg did not play Monday, but will be ones to watch earn playing time this season.San Francisco’s Julian Rishwain started and tallied five points, four rebounds and three assists in 22 minutes for the Dons. Andre Henry had four points, five rebounds and three assists in 19 minutes for UC Irvine.
Be on the lookout for former Alemany standout Brandon Whitney, he’s expected to be Montana’s go-to option this season after averaging double digits in scoring as a freshman and sophomore.Kiki Iriafen started for second-ranked Stanford and led the Cardinal with 16 points and six rebounds on 7-of-8 shooting in just 15 minutes. Iriafen was two-time Daily News Player of the Year in 2020 and 2021.
