Aaron Travis Benneweis has pleaded guilty to sexual assault and sexual exploitation of a minor while he was the athletics director at Saskatoon’s Legacy Christian Academy between 2008 and 2012.
The 46-year-old, who is living in Edmonton, was charged and released on conditions after Jennifer Beaudry made a police report in August 2022. The statement of claim, which contains allegations that have not been tested in court, alleges Legacy Christian Academy and Mile Two Church allowed church and teaching staff to spank and fondle students while perpetrating other physical, psychological and sexual abuse.
