Former Antioch man accused of sexually abusing multiple children.
A former Antioch resident has been arrested on charges that he sexually abused children, police said Friday.
Jose Mondragon, 47, is being held in lieu of $1 million bail, Antioch police said. He is charged with abusing “multiple children,” APD said.Officials have charged him with five counts of aggravated criminal sexual assault, and three counts of aggravated criminal sexual abuse. He could face up to 30 years in prison if convicted on the most serious charges, APD said.
“Any crime against a child will be vigorously pursued and the offender relentlessly sought until found and behind bars,” Guttschow said. “Our detectives did a great job with investigating and ultimately taking Mondragon into custody.”
