The Twitter Spaces, hosted by the NFL, began Monday night with former Bulldogs Mecole Hardman, Sony Michel and Roquan Smith.The hosts provoked some Alabama-Georgia talk and Hardman started slow.
“All I have the foundation is built and we’re here to stay,” the running back said after Georgia beat Alabama in January for the national championship. “To all the ‘Bama fans out there, the foundation has been built and we are here to stay.”“Not to mention they cheated us out of the national championship as well,” Michel said, presumably referencing the 2018 national title game known for the 2nd-and-26 game-winning play for Alabama. “So we’re not even going to speak on that.
That lead to Tuesday night when Alabama’s Mark Ingram, Jonathan Allen and Daron Payne took part in a similar discussion hosted by the NFL. To close things out, the hosts prompted the Crimson Tide players to respond to Georgia’s talking points. “Listen here man, when they’ve got it proven over several, several years -- a decade plus, come talk to me,” Ingram said. “When they’ve got 18 national championships, come talk to me. When they have six in the last 12 years or whatever it may be, come talk to me.”“The only reason they have a national championship is purely because their head coach came from ‘Bama,” Ingram said referencing Kirby Smart’s time as an Alabama assistant from 2007-15. “So they should be thanking ‘Bama.
