Turns out the cute little critters have their own distinct personalities, according to THS spokesperson Jessica Harwood. “Donald is a little bit on the shy side,” she added. “So he kind of waits for Fabio to lead the way and then once he knows it’s OK to go, his curiousity kicks in and he’ll follow Fabio’s lead.
“Fabio, he’s a social butterfly. He’s always willing to come out of his hiding spot,” said Harwood. “If you have treats, he loves fresh veggies and herbs and although most guinea pigs don’t enjoy being picked up too much, Fabio doesn’t mind it as long as you do it properly and hold him against your chest.”
