Ontario Premier Doug Ford is using a gathering of his provincial and territorial colleagues to muster support for speeding up approvals of life-saving medications and treatments. The premier has outlined drug approvals as his key priority for this year’s Council of the Federation meetings, which kicked off Monday in Halifax, pointing to Canada’s slow pace in getting new drugs on the market compared to its allies.
