60 years is a long time and a pretty big anniversary to celebrate, whether it’s for a wedding or retirement party. It’s especially a big deal for a car model since nameplates tend to come and go over the years. Well, turns out that April 17, 2024, was the official 60th anniversary of the Ford Mustang. Yep, the pony car that started it all hit the scene six decades ago and has been going strong, without interruption, ever since.

With a price starting at $325,000, you’ll also need the blessing of Ford to buy one, regardless of your bank account. Ford wants these 800-hp, street-legal, track-ready weapons to get beat on and not just sit in a temperature-regulated vault.
