No. 10 and top-seeded Passaic Tech defeated eighth-seeded Bayonne to 42-0 in the quarterfinal round of the North Jersey, Section 1, Group 5 tournament.

The game was all Passaic Tech from the jump. Ma’Kao Taylor got things started with a 54-yard touchdown to Jones off the play-action fake, just two plays and 51 seconds in. Bayonne was knocking on the door for an answer, but fumbled near the end zone. Just a play later, Trashon Dye took home an 89-yard rushing touchdown to put Passaic Tech up 14-0.The Bulldogs had only ran just three plays and had already scored twice.

Jones would extend the Bulldogs’ lead even further with a pick-six from 45-yards out, putting Passaic Tech up 35-0 going into the half. The second half saw one more touchdown from Passaic Tech. The Bulldogs stay undefeated this season, improving to 10-0.
