Fans at Miami Hurricanes' game against Appalachian State managed to catch a cat who fell from the stadium's upper deck, using an American flag
He detailed the tense moment, stating:"It hung there for a little while with its two front paws, then one paw, then I was like, 'Oh my goodness, it's coming soon.'"
The cat ran into the student section which was close to its landing spot, and reportedly did not show any signs of injury. Miami coach Manny Diaz did not see the incident first hand but did say that he would offer the animal a role on the team. "I don't know anything about that or what was going on. But I'll tell you, if the cat will help us in our red-zone offense I'm going to see if we can give it a scholarship," Diaz joked.A stock image of a cat draped in an American flag.
