'It really is a shame that this incident, that happened at another stand has affected our staff/business.'
A Lytham Festival food vendor has hit back after customers claimed to have been over-charged for their meals by a contactless card scam.
Now Olive Tree Brasserie Lytham, who also had a stand at the festival selling gyros, have said that while their stand "had nothing to do with the incident", it had affected their business and staff. The restaurant, who were stationed at gate A, have since issued a statement explaining that their stand was not involved.
The statement read: "We would just like to clarify that this incident has nothing to do with the Olive Tree Brasserie Gyros stand at Lytham Festival . It really is a shame that this incident, that happened at another stand has affected our staff/business. We had such a successful 10 days at Lytham festival, with nothing but amazing feedback about our staff and delicious food.
She went on to say that while they noticed the price difference, if they had been drinking, they probably would have just tapped their card. Other people have since come forward claiming to be 'ripped off'.
