Food For Learning fighting higher food prices and greater demand

Food For Learning programs across the Quinte region are facing a crisis.

Similar to food banks, the programs are having trouble keeping up with the demand and the high cost of groceries.Program Coordinator Vicki Struthers says students cannot be fully engaged if they are hungry. The programs are running at full capacity, which is three food groups per meal, five days a week during the school year.
