A Florida school board has voted down recognizing October as LGBTQ History Month.
”We will continue to advocate for our students, support our marginalized populations, and create a safe space for each and every student across our district,” she said.
During the meeting Wednesday, parents, teachers, and students spoke regarding the measure for more than three hours.applauded when saying that schools “are not here to indoctrinate with the LGBTQ agenda. We should not expose our children to this in school.” Michael Rajner spoke in favor of the measure, however, noting his experience being gay included having parents who told him not to tell others.
