He led the Wildcats with 30 points and 12 assists, but the team’s leading scorer, Keyontae Johnson, was limited to nine points while playing most of the game in foul trouble before fouling out with just under three minutes to go.
Although the Owls are the lowest-seeded team left in the tournament, they have proven that they aren’t really an out-of-nowhere Cinderella. They were under-seeded by the selection committee after entering the tournament tied with Houston and Charleston for the most wins . They are one of the most balanced teams in the country, ranking 26th in adjusted offensive efficiency and 29th in adjusted defensive efficiency, according to college basketball data website kenpom.com.
