A cabin crew member has weighed in on the debate surrounding reclining seats on flights on TikTok- and it turns out there is a right and wrong answer to the question
There are two types of passengers in the skies - those who hit the recline button on their seats and those who simmer with irritation when it happens to them.
Hannah has found herself mediating disputes between full-grown adults bickering over seat reclining rights more than once. "For some reason, I don't know why, this is such an issue on flights," she remarked in her recent TikTok post. Nonetheless, she concedes that during meal service, when tray tables are in use, it's only polite to keep your seat upright. Hence, Hannah suggests it's perfectly reasonable to request someone to adjust their seat while dining.
Opinions were divided among commenters. One person who disagreed with the cabin crew member argued: "The problem is the plane design! Created to cram as many people in for profit now over passenger comfort. Reclining on some planes now, means you can't see you screen properly and/or legs crushed!"
