As more storms rolled into Chicago and the surrounding areas Tuesday afternoon, Gov. Pritzker issued a disaster proclamation for several Illinois counties in an effort to help local agencies respond to damage from recent heavy rains and flash flooding.

At a news conference Tuesday morning, Cicero residents asked for state, county and local agencies to invest and come up with long-term solutions to improve the city’s “crumbling” infrastructure and better manage wastewater.
