Flames recall Pelletier, Duehr from AHL’s Wranglers yyc flames
Pelletier was the Flames’ first-round pick in 2019. The 21-year-old left-winger has been a consistent contributor for the farm team, totalling 96 points in his 97 career contests in the AHL. If he can prove that he is ready to help the Flames, he may not hit triple digits in either category.
“I want to play in the NHL,” Pelletier told Postmedia this fall. “I’m going to do whatever it takes to play there.”Article content The youngster has cashed 15 goals and collected 19 assists in 31 outings so far this season with the Calgary Wranglers. As he packed his bags for the Flames’ five-game road trip, he was sitting eighth in the AHL scoring race.

The 25-year-old has one previous NHL appearance on his resumé. Next up for the Flames is Sunday’s clash with the Blackhawks in the Windy City . Coming off a 4-1 home victory over the New York Islanders, Darryl Sutter may be hesitant to shuffle his forward deck, so the new guys may have to wait for an opportunity.
