Fresh off his Stanley Cup celebration with the Colorado Avalanche, Kadri has been among Calgary’s most consistent contributors through the first half of the 2022-23 campaign.
“I think it’s been pretty smooth, pretty seamless,” Kadri said of his transition from Colorado to Cowtown. “Everyone has made me feel at home. The fans have been really receptive, and that’s something I’ve really appreciated. And the guys have done a great job of welcoming me into the dressing room and just being great character guys. Asked Friday what the younger dudes on his roster might be able to glean from the new guy in No. 91, hard-to-please head coach Darryl Sutter deadpanned: “He should show them his ring first. That would be something to learn, how hard it is.” Kadri is still hoping he’ll have some company for that early February flight from Calgary to Florida. A dozen more all-star reps — three from each division — will be selected via online fan polling.
