1 per cent in March and grew at an annualized rate of 2.5 per cent in the first quarter.National Bank of Canada is set to release its second-quarter results before financial markets open on Wednesday, while Laurentian Bank to report its results on Thursday. The results follow results from some of Canada’s other big banks last week that showed the sector under pressure as they set aside more money for bad loans.
