The company said earlier this year that higher fuel and food costs were affecting customer driving and shopping habits while boosting sales of its private label brand.
Bank of Canada governor Tiff Macklem and senior deputy governor Carolyn Rogers will appear before the House of Commons standing committee on finance on Wednesday. The appearance comes ahead of the central bank’s next interest rate announcement set for Dec. 7.The Canada-Ukraine Chamber of Commerce hosts a conference in Toronto on Wednesday highlighting investing opportunities and rebuilding efforts in Ukraine.
