It’s also smart to implement dual controls in order to make financial transactions, including submitting ACH batch files and making wire transfers.Small business data is only as protected as customers’ and employees’ passwords are strong—and they’re often quite the opposite.

“That’s where things are getting a little bit harder for businesses,” said Agcaoili. “The reality is, they need to have a good e-commerce website manager who can keep the site up-to-date, end-to-end, and ensure third-party applications are safe—for example, Magecart.”
