Five-star Santa Ana Mater Dei defensive linemancommitted to Dan Lanning and the Ducks, becoming the new headliner in Oregon's 2024 recruiting class.was in Costa Mesa Thursday night for Mater Dei vs. Orange Lutheran and caught up with Breland to discuss his decision.
"Not to make it seem like my grandma was the only deciding factor. My grandma played a big part in it, but once she said that it just made me re-look at things. As we looked at things Oregon was just the better fit, it really was. "I can say I learned a lot. It was very bitter sweet. There was ups and downs but it was an experience that I'm overall just totally grateful for. I've learned a lot about myself, learned a lot about life in general on these trips. Just grateful to be able to have this experience and end the story."
