TSN's Bryan Hayes breaks down the five Toronto Maple Leafs players who will determine if the team makes the playoffs this season, highlighting their current performance and potential impact.
The Toronto Maple Leafs' postseason fate hinges on five key players, according to TSN's Bryan Hayes. During * Leafs Lunch *, Hayes identified goaltender Anthony Stolarz, defensemen Jake McCabe and Simon Benoit, and forwards Bobby McMann and Mitch Marner as the critical determinants of their playoff success.
Stolarz, who started the season hot, has seen his performance wane, while McCabe is recovering from a skate cut that required stitches. Benoit has shown promise but lacks consistency, and McMann has yet to build on his strong second-half showing from last season. Marner, the team's highest-paid winger, remains under scrutiny despite his reputation for coming through in big moments.
