Sudbury falls to Windsor 111-110, remain tied for first place in NBLC
It was an epic battle by both teams that went right down to the wire.
A little over halfway through the second quarter, Montell McRae missed on a three-point shot, but retrieved his own rebound, which he converted to tie the game at 34 points apiece. With less than five minutes to go in the third quarter, Jeremy Harris converted on a tough layup attempt to extend the Five’s lead to 10 points, with the score now 76-66 for Sudbury. Seconds later, Mark Vital converted a slam dunk to give Sudbury an even wider lead, 78-66.
With 5:50 remaining in the fourth quarter, AJ Mosby hit a tough jumper over Windsor defender Tanner Stuckman to give Sudbury a 99-96 lead. Then, Braylon Rayson served up an alley oop pass to Montell McRae, who slammed it home to give Sudbury a three-point lead, 101-98.
