Cops say they are looking for a feathered 'suspect' after a bird dropped a fish on a transformer, causing a large power outage.
A tongue-in-cheek image released by the Sayreville Police Department after a bird allegedly dropped a fish on a transformer, knocking out power to the borough. The crime scene was fishy from the start.
“The hypothesis is that a bird dropped it,” Novak told NJ Advance Media. “It just landed perfectly and destroyed the transformer.”JCP&L reported the unusual outage to the Middlesex County police department. Power was restored about three hours later, Novak said. “Gilligan was a hard working family man. He was a father to thousands of children,” the post read. “The suspect was last seen flying South. If you see him do not try to apprehend him.”
