The last Vaisakhi parade in Surrey, in 2019, was attended by between 500,000 and 550,000, according to the Surrey RCMP.
The first Surrey Vaisakhi parade took place 17 years ago and, while it’s a harvest festival important to Sikhs, all are welcome.
The parade begins a bit after 9 a.m. at Surrey’s Gurdwara Dashmesh Darbar temple, travels up 124th Street to 75th Avenue, moves down 76th Avenue, then returns to finish back at the temple at 12885-85 Ave.Article content
