Firefighter injured in Pacific Beach blaze that destroyed two-story under construction [Breaking]
A firefighter was evaluated for minor burns after a blaze consumed a two-story building under construction in Pacific Beach early Christmas morning.
The blaze grew into a third-alarm fire, which is bigger and more complex than a first-alarm fire, said San Diego Fire-Rescue Battalion Chief Jeff Mitchell.About 100 firefighters were deployed to extinguish it, he said. It took about an hour for them to knock down.The burned firefighter was medically evaluated, released and returned to work this morning, Mitchell said.
