Mike Nelson is the Denver7 Chief Meteorologist who has been forecasting weather in Colorado for over 25 of those years.
A red flag warning will be in place from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday for the along I-25 and the northern plains up to the Wyoming border for dry, windy conditions, according to the National Weather Service in Boulder.
A fire weather watch will be in place on Sunday near I-25 and the adjacent foothills as low humidity and warm, breezy weather returns. The weekend forecast otherwise looks delightful, with temps in the 60s and lighter winds in some spots. The next storm will bring rain and snow back to western Colorado on Monday and into the Denver area Tuesday.
