Police are investigating a suspicious fire at a golf course that was to be used as a respite for London, Ont.’s homeless population in the winter.
The City says firefighters found the golf course’s clubhouse fully involved in flames when they arrived at the scene early Sunday morning. The fire was put out, but the City says it’s too early to estimate damages or determine the cause of the blaze.The City says it will spend the next few days evaluating “the extent to which this fire may impact the proposed Indigenous-led winter shelter site.”
