Fire causes $600K in damage to Spring Valley home [Breaking]
A fire that spread from a garage to the attic of a two-story Spring Valley home caused an estimated $600,000 damage Wednesday night before it was extinguished, a fire official said.
Firefighters helped escort one resident, a man, from a second-story balcony down a staircase and away from the flames. He was checked out by paramedics but declined further medical care.All three people renting the home and their pets — two cats and a dog — were able to safely leave the home without incident, Durrell said.
Firefighters from Heartland Fire & Rescue and San Diego Fire-Rescue assisted San Miguel with the incident.
