Financial Analyst assists the Manager of Financial Services by providing expertise in budgeting, purchasing, and accounting services to the board. In this confidential non-union position, the Financial Analyst performs as an integral member of a team and contributes to excellence in Catholic education.• Assist with preparing the Annual and Revised Budget and implementing budget controls through continuous monitoring and reporting of performance against plans.
• Assist with the reporting and recording of Ministry grants through the Grants for Students needs and Transfer Payment Agreements. • Supports completion of the annual Financial Statements, including ensuring the external auditor’s requests are met. • Assist with the reporting and recording of financial transactions of the Catholic Education Foundation.• Supports the competitive purchasing process through effective sourcing, tendering, and adherence to the Broader Public Sector Procurement Directive.• Assist the Manager of Financial Services in the establishment of efficient and effective accounting systems and internal controls.• Completion of a university degree in Business, Accounting or related field.
