Fight over constitutional provisions to guard against oil, gas pollution moves ahead in New Mexico

Attorneys for the plaintiffs celebrated the judge's ruling, saying it will allow residents of New Mexico who have been living with the consequences of more oil and gas development in opposite corners of the state to have their day in court.“The case can go forward on the undisputed facts about the extent of the pollution and the extent of the state's failure to control that pollution,” said Gail Evans, an attorney with the Center for Biological Diversity.

Attorneys for Democratic Gov. Michelle Lujan Grisham and the Democrat-controlled Legislature did not immediately respond to requests for comment on the judge's decision. The state can appeal the judge's order.aimed at limiting emissions from the oil and gas industry.

The New Jersey Attorney General's Division of Alcoholic Beverage Control is reviewing the liquor licenses held by former President Donald Trump's golf courses in the state following his criminal conviction in New York, the agency confirmed. "ABC is reviewing the impact of President Trump's conviction on the above referenced licenses, and declines further comment at this time," a spokesperson for the agency said in an email.

Former President Trump attempted to take credit for insulin pricing in a Saturday post on Truth Social. “Low INSULIN PRICING was gotten for millions of Americans by me, and the Trump Administration, not by Crooked ” Trump said in the Truth Social post. “He had NOTHING to do with it. It was all done…Russia was scared to fly its Su-57 in combat, fearing a loss. Ukraine scored a hit on one anyway.
