“Youth have shown resilience through the COVID-19 pandemic and going forward, there’s been a great sense of duty to help them find new opportunities to pave their path,” he said in the media release. Nationally, the program received more than 48,000 applications, representing more than 233,000 jobs requested. In the end, more than 39,000 projects were approved for funding this year, representing more than 140,000 job opportunities.Among the businesses in Nickel Belt to receive Canada Summer Jobs funding is KD Farm & Feed, whose owner Kris Berthelot praised the program in the media release.
