SAN FRANCISCO — Federal prosecutors here have filed gun possession charges against a man who was allegedly pulled over with a backpack containing 10 ounces of fentanyl, court record show.
Prosecutors wrote that Ortiz-Bardales was arrested in October 2021 after police pulled over a car he was driving near Van Ness Avenue and McAllister Street in San Francisco and determined he had a warrant in Alameda County. A gun was found underneath a passenger seat, as well as a backpack containing 10 ounces of fentanyl and smaller amounts of crack cocaine, methamphetamine, and cocaine salt.
