Hours after people in north Houston first noticed officers from multiple agencies gathering in north Houston, officials with the FBI said they were helping Waller County Sheriff's Office with a multi-day hostage rescue operation when the shooting happened.All the hostages were rescued and no FBI agents were injured, officials said.
Connor Hagan, a spokesperson for the FBI's Houston office, said those scant details are all the bureau would be releasing Wednesday. The case remains part of an ongoing federal investigation, he said. The bureau's shooting incident review team will handle the investigation into the shooting, officials said. The scene was being processed as of 8:30 a.m., and people are asked to stay clear of the area.
