One dead, two injured after collision.
FAIRBANKS, Alaska - On Tuesday, February 6 at just after 4:30 p.m. Alaska State Troopers received multiple reports of a vehicle collision at mile marker 38 of the Elliott Highway.
53-year-old Robert Altman of Fairbanks died as a result of the crash, and two other people who were involved in the accident sustained non-life threatening injuries. According to troopers, a 2015 Ford SUV, which Altman was driving at the time of the accident, and a commercial vehicle being operated by the Sourdough Trucking Company were involved in the collision.
Altman’s next of kin have been notified, and an investigation into the cause of the crash is ongoing.
